Photos from ARME III

ARME III was hosted in Leoni Meadows, CA in August of 2010. We did very little advertising, but much prayer…and again God brought the people. Over 500 were in attendance at this camp, including the whole Weimar Academy and staff who came to ARME to start off their school year. The beauty of the country setting, the variety and yet unity of the messages, along with the delicious food and friendly accommodations made this one of our favorite camps so far! Yet, as always, the best part was the Prayer time! We are all seeing the beauty and power of prayer in greater and greater degrees. In fact, the “All day Prayer-Room” lead by our Prayer team was a constant beehive, and over 600 people came through the room spending at least an hour of their day with us in prayer, and many stayed longer. (To read more testimonies, visit the Prayer page!) At this camp our trainers included: Jeffrey Rosario, Don Mackintosh, Ivor Myers, Martin Kim, Peter Gregory, Dr. Isaac Olatunji, and Dale Leamon. At the end, again testimonies were shared and the power of prayer was evidenced as we witnessed chains broken, hearts healed, and lives empowered with the Word.  And we all knew that God was calling us to take ARME worldwide.

ARME II occurred in May of 2010 in Canby Oregon. We were blessed by the same trainers as Arme I at this camp, less Doug Batchelor, with the addition of Scripture memorization trainer Dan Vis. Also, we added an official Children’s Ministries component (Featuring “Feeding His Lambs Ministries”) making the camp family friendly and providing opportunities for the parents to learn undistracted, as well as enabling the children to receive their own training in Bible study and prayer. Again God blessed in a mighty way as we had over 450 in attendance and packed out our accommodations and meeting rooms.   Throughout the conference, our trainers shared on a variety of Bible Study topics…from the basic “How To’s” of Bible Study, to “Learning to study Prophecy,” and to learning to give “Bible Studies” to those of other denominations and faiths. Some of our speakers again shared their inspiring testimonies! Finally Sunday evening, we had our Testimony Banquet – a simple, but elegant meal complete with candles and flowers and more scrumptious food. The testimony time itself was the most inspiring though, from the children’s scripture songs and sharing time, to the tear-jerking testimonies as person after person lined up to share about how God had impacted their hearts and lives and had inspired them to dig deeper in the Word because of ARME BIBLE CAMP! About 100 people had made decisions for baptism or re-baptism. Even men stood before us and cried as they shared how the Lord had moved them– it was powerful, and humbling to those of us who had been working and praying behind the scenes. Truly…our God is an awesome God.

Our first ARME was hosted in Soquel, CA in August of 2009.  We were praying for about 300 attendees, as our goal was to keep things nice and personal and allow interaction between the Bible Trainers and attendees. However, a month before the camp we only had 45 people registered despite extensive advertising. We knew we were entering a WAR, but we didn’t realize how serious of a war it was. We are told in the Great Controversy that whenever a genuine work of God begins, Satan will do all in his power to counteract it. Furthermore, he employs every possible device to keep men from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible (GC 593), for it’s plain utterances reveal his deceptions. And what were we seeking to do? Teach people to get into the Word! So we wondered, was this to be or not to be? However, we began to pray earnestly, and God worked in a mighty way. Over 350 attendees were part of this first camp coming from all over the West Coast, and as far away as South Carolina, Minnesota, New Jersey and even Fiji and Indonesia. Our Bible trainers at this first camp included: Stephen Bohr, Manny Beck, Ivor Myers, Taj Pacleb, Martin Kim, and Doug Batchelor. Our trainers shared powerful testimonies, inspiration about the “Heart Preparation” for Bible study, and many inside practical tips on how to dig into the Word…then people were given opportunities to go take some time for “hands on digging.” Altar calls were made, decisions sealed, testimony shared and even some confessed that “ARME was the answer to years of prayer.” In short, despite our meager abilities and resources, the conference was a much bigger success and inspiration than any of us imagined, and our team realized that this was only the beginning of a much larger plan that God had in store for us.

This is only the beginning…and the story will be continued, as we believe what God has already done, He will do in much larger degree in the coming months. Pray for the leadership of ARME as we pray for God’s Vision and prepare to go to battle in a much larger capacity. Pray for laborers to join us, and pray that what God has started will not be diluted or loose it’s initial purity and fire! Pray that we would realize the seriousness of the times we are living in and that we all would be TRUE SOLDIERS of Christ!

“For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the WHOLE armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand…Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all PERSEVERANCE and supplication for all saints.” Eph 6:12,13,18

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ…He that shall ENDURE to the end shall be saved.” II Tim 2:3, Matt 24:13

Forward Soldiers... Forward on our Knees!
